The only problem with being jet-setting rockstars is that the days tend to run together, especially when you stay up all night! It took us a bit to figure it out but now we're sure... after London (and staying up almost all night) we caught a coach to Liverpool, on Sunday. But not before doing our best to see some of the sights that London is so well-known for: Big Ben, The river Thames, the Parliament buildings, London Bridge, the Tower of London, the London eye... in about an hour using our 'speed walking' skills and snapping photos on the fly. KGB has officially (in our books) coined the phrase 'Turbo-Tourism'!
Ahhh... the Coach. It's an interesting way to travel really... trying to find a way to jam your knees against the seat in front of you so you're propped up enough to maybe catch an hour of sleep... and we're pretty sure they turn the air conditioning on for the last half hour of the ride intentionally to wake the passengers up. It's a conspiracy to make us silly!! Yes, there is photographic evidence... if you're good maybe we'll post some...
By the time we got to Liverpool (there were traffic delays again) we had about 2 hours to settle into our hostel and get ready for the show. The Hostel was our favorite yet, the staff were great and we had a giant room with four bunk beds all to ourselves! As you can imagine, it took all of about 5 minutes to explode Kabuki Gun-style all over the room, sequins and glitter, heels and party dresses covering every inch of the floor.
We were fortunate enough to be able to dance live with the Cocobelles in Liverpool following our set. Once again we had a hell of a time, the audience was super receptive, and once we were done we took over the bar above and *literally* partied all night. All we'll say is this: 7 KGB = more trouble than any city can handle!
The next day, bleary eyed and bushy-tailed, we hunted down some shopping! Before we knew it the shops were closing and we were starving so we found ourselves some good old-fashioned fish and chips and settled in a park to ruminate over the tour so far. So despite our nature, we decided to stay in for the night and hang out in the common room playing wii and watching movies. Well-rested (yeah right) the following morning we embarked upon our 7-modes-of-consecutive-transportation-adventure!
Stay tuned!
xoxo
