Where were we? Oh yes, how could we forget (tee hee) AMSTERDAM!
Friday night was our Amsterdam Burlesque FreakOut show and, like all the rest on this amazing tour, absolitely and positively EPIC. We were fortunate enough to be let into the venue several hours in advance. This gave us the opportunity to rehearse again with the Dutch Starlets on-stage and get a feel for the evening's activities.
Club 8 was gorgeous, the walls covered in hand-painted murals, secluded alcoves and red velvet curtains. We had a green room filled with drinks and veggies to snack on and to our delight, Marco showed up several times with chilled bottles of champagne and enthusiastic words of encouragement. Before we knew it was show time and the place was packed. We recall just before we went on Marco came back to tell us there was a lineup out the door!! Every number was met with enthusiastic hooting and hollering from the audience, and the lineup was diverse enough to hold everyone's attention throughout the evening. Before we knew it the set was done and we were slipping into something more comfortable for the With Love from Holland Burlesque Fashion show. The pieces were flattering and unique and made with empowered women in mind, so we were honoured to be a part of showcasing the new line of frilly things. Once the fashion show was wrapped up the after-party began! By the way - Amsterdamians sure know how to party! We were practically falling asleep on our feet but with Marco's pleading decided to dance one more song, one more song, one more... finally we realized we had about 3 hours until we had to be up and ready to catch a cab to the tram and it was time to TRY and get some sleep. Yeah right!!! You can probably guess from the rest of our tour how this went...

Liverpool to Amsterdam, AKA How many forms of transport can you fit into a 24-hour period?
Helllloooooooo Lovelies! Our sincere apologies for not updating sooner, but we've been travelling non-stop (as you'll soon find out) and simply did not have the time. We're a hot commodity, you see...
So as you know we wrapped up Liverpool by first drinking the locals under the table, then shopping 'til we dropped. We had originally planned to party our buns off again but the tour had taken it's toll (or maybe it was the 'standard' doubles the bar served?) and decided instead to finish the day off with some fish 'n chips in the park and some wii in the Hostel's common room. The funny part is that Magnet somehow managed to party without us and the back door of the bar looked in on our common room. It was hard to resist the music, doubles and dancing on tables but we popped in a house copy of Moulin Rouge (of course!) and called it a night.
In the morning we were treated to free pancakes (what we call crepes) before catching two van cabs to the Coach station to start our 7-modes-of-transport day ultimately delivering us to Amsterdam! So here's essentially how it went down: cabs to the Coach station, coach to London, Tube to Liverpool Street station, train to the Ferry, Ferry across to Amsterdam where we caught a tram to the train station, train to another tram, then walked the several blocks to our Hostel... in the wrong direction. But we're smart and savvy and eventually figured out how the street signs worked (keep in mind this is the first city on our tour that wasn't english-speaking).
Oh, hey, have you been to Amsterdam? Turns out the houses are tall and skinny (not unlike the people) and in the 'olden days' they used ropes and a pulley system to hoist luggage and pianos etc. up to the fourth or fifth floors of the house. This system is not in place anymore, or at least wasn't available at our hostel. SO, we, as a team, lugged our approximately 80 pounds of luggage each up five flights of harrowingly narrow and winding staircases. Like I said, we did a little shopping. By the end there were Kabuki Guns strewn about and we were stepping over exhausted dancers just trying to get a shower and a clean bed!
Given all of that, we had no choice but to take a 'short nap'. 5 hours later we awoke eager to explore the notorious cafes and world-renowned red-light district, friendly people and moderately priced beer. The next day we had an intense 6-hour rehearsal preparing for 'Burlesque FreakOut' at Club 8. The show was to open with our set and then we were to model lengerie in Burlesque performances with three new up-and-coming starlets (Lola, Sophie and Faye) followed by an after-party with more performances, amazing DJing and our first ever SUPER fan (Hi James from New York!!!).
Once rehearsal was over (did we mention Marco the promoter secured us an Amsterdamian dance studio with a full wall of mirrors??? Awesome.) we headed back to the hostel to freshen up and then went back out on the town for some more exploring and, of course, more trouble!

London - Liverpool, 'Turbo-tourism'?
The only problem with being jet-setting rockstars is that the days tend to run together, especially when you stay up all night! It took us a bit to figure it out but now we're sure... after London (and staying up almost all night) we caught a coach to Liverpool, on Sunday. But not before doing our best to see some of the sights that London is so well-known for: Big Ben, The river Thames, the Parliament buildings, London Bridge, the Tower of London, the London eye... in about an hour using our 'speed walking' skills and snapping photos on the fly. KGB has officially (in our books) coined the phrase 'Turbo-Tourism'!
Ahhh... the Coach. It's an interesting way to travel really... trying to find a way to jam your knees against the seat in front of you so you're propped up enough to maybe catch an hour of sleep... and we're pretty sure they turn the air conditioning on for the last half hour of the ride intentionally to wake the passengers up. It's a conspiracy to make us silly!! Yes, there is photographic evidence... if you're good maybe we'll post some...
By the time we got to Liverpool (there were traffic delays again) we had about 2 hours to settle into our hostel and get ready for the show. The Hostel was our favorite yet, the staff were great and we had a giant room with four bunk beds all to ourselves! As you can imagine, it took all of about 5 minutes to explode Kabuki Gun-style all over the room, sequins and glitter, heels and party dresses covering every inch of the floor.
We were fortunate enough to be able to dance live with the Cocobelles in Liverpool following our set. Once again we had a hell of a time, the audience was super receptive, and once we were done we took over the bar above and *literally* partied all night. All we'll say is this: 7 KGB = more trouble than any city can handle!
The next day, bleary eyed and bushy-tailed, we hunted down some shopping! Before we knew it the shops were closing and we were starving so we found ourselves some good old-fashioned fish and chips and settled in a park to ruminate over the tour so far. So despite our nature, we decided to stay in for the night and hang out in the common room playing wii and watching movies. Well-rested (yeah right) the following morning we embarked upon our 7-modes-of-consecutive-transportation-adventure!
Stay tuned!

KGB in London!
So as you know, we're in London now! We leave tomorrow for Liverpool but not before we put our stamp on this lovely city! It's official - KGB loves London, and London LOVES KGB!
Our show today was at the world-famous 'Time for Tease'. As soon as Bunny heard about this event she was intrigued, how could you not be?? We're talking high tea in proper fashion. Dress code, warmed scones with clotted cream and fresh preserves. Finger sandwiches, pastries and other delectible delights. Not least among those delights - Burlesque!!! Genious, isn't it?? We thought the venue was absolute stunning. Intimate (seating limited to about 70 people or so), elegant and truly fabulous. Our gracious hostess Zoe was so wonderful and we were absolutely delighted with such a magnificent opportunity!
The extra bonus about today's show? We were done by 6 PM! Once 'work' was out of the way (who can call that work???) we headed back to the Hostel to change out of our party dresses and get in gear for a bit of a walkabout. So where do you think KGB would go when in London? Why... Soho of course! Words simply can't describe the vibrant artistic air as we found ourselves gazing at long cobblestone streets lit up with neon and scenesters galore. It seemed every restaurant was a 'hotspot', and more than a few windows were delightfully graced with gorgeous young studs in nothign but their nickers! Do you call them nickers if they're on boys? We don't know although we expect in Soho that would be the appropriate word...
Well, KGB doesn't do anything without style and flare. We highly doubt London (and that phone booth!!!) will never be the same... Yes we had double-decker busses full of patrons giggling at our antics and it's surprisingly easy to convince complete strangers to be your temporary paparazzi! Hmm... maybe it's the sparkles?
We can't wait to connect with all our new friends, hopefully you're reading now (ahem, Neve, Hannah!). But it's been 3 days and we haven't slept (didn't we tell you sleep was overrated?!) so maybe it's time for beddie-bye. Until next time loves... cheerio!
xoxo
P.S - apparently uploading pictures is a 'security risk' of some kind here at the hostel... will post asap!

KGB Dominated Manchester!!!
Hello lovelies!!! Yes we're here! We made it safe and sound and, of course, in EPIC fashion!
So as you know we flew out of Calgary Thursday afternoon. The flight was awesome, we make a party wherever we go. :p Landed at London Gatwick at 7:30 AM local time (9 hour flight). Caught the Coach to Victoria Cross station and got familiar with the sights and sounds for an hour and a half or so... half of us caught the tube to the Hostel we're staying at, half of us caught another Coach at 1:00 PM for Manchester. As it turns out we hit some traffic en route and were delayed by about an hour. Got to Manchester, met up with Bunny (yay!!!!!!!) and walked the block or so to the venue - P.S We love you Bella!. Once there we found out we were on stage an hour earlier than expected. Well... KGB loves a challenge! On zero sleep we got ourselves ready and danced the hell out of our UK debut! What an incredibly receptive audience! Our fellow divas (Kiki Kaboom, Frisky & Mannish, to name a few) were so wonderfully warm and welcoming to us! Suffice it to say the show was a resounding success!!! You can tell from the picture (coming soon!!) we got a little 'pekkish' and, well, a wee bit wacky from the jet lag and lack of sleep. Bella was kind enough to put us up for the night but as we mentioned in our last post, sleep is overrated!
It was easy enough to ride out the 2 hours we had to kill before catching our cab with the lovely and effing hilarious Neve. Sure, we could have had a nap but why nap when you are graced with such fabulous company?! And TEA. :)
Once 5:30 am hit we caught our cab to the Coach station and took a ride back to London for our 3:00 PM show at London's Time for Tease... but more about that in our next entry. As of now, it's been 3 days and we haven't slept yet. But you wouldn't expect anything less from us, right?
Talk soon lovelies! xoxoxox

We don't know if you know this but...

...we're kind of a big deal.
Yeah, we're going on tour. You know, just zipping over to the UK tomorrow. Maybe kick it for awhile in Amsterdam.
Are you even a gazillionth as excited as we are?!?! We've got pasties and rufflebums tucked neatly away and we're thinking sleep is over-rated. This time tomorrow we'll be... well, probably watching some in-flight entertainment. But that's in-flight, en route, to our UK/Euro invasion!!!!
Every one of us has worked so hard, and your support has been tremendous. We wouldn't be doing this without you! Thanks again everyone, and we'll chat soon!
